We call this guy, Rickshawala!

We call this guy - Rickshawala! A computer engineer, would be a wrong introduction, but so would be a Mumbaitee, or a master planner of events, or Mr. Betting, or Mr. Stock Market or Mr. Money Maker or Mr. Himesh Fan or Mr. Indonesia! We called this guy - Rickshawala!

The first time I saw this guy, he looked cunning, and wicked to me. "Why can't you move me to the project, same as my friend ? There are so many people here, who can move to my project willingly!!!! For eg: (points at S**a*) This guy's ready" was the first time, I heard this guy speak, and there was dead laughter all around... :)! Termed rightly as "Notorious batch ever", by Mrs. Training Head, there were a lot of things childish, kiddish about our batch. But those were the best days of our lives, undoubtedly!

Being in the same project, a series of events unfolded, and I don't exactly remember how and why, but I was suddenly hunting a house @ Magarpatta on 02nd Oct 2007 with him, when we decided on one! I first realized that he wasn't that bad as he looked, when he very willingly accepted the fact that it will be him, who will sleep on the floor. Wow, that was a relief! Didn't want to leave the king size bed.

Living with him @work and @home, I realized that this guy had two goals back then:
1. Getting Married.
2. Making Money.
Ok, the order might not be what it seems! But his life worked in the mentioned order.

I remember a lot of things, which we did together. Its a long list, but we could summarize it to cursing managers, (he) talking a lot abut cricket, (he) talking a lot about stocks, (he) quietly eating what's available from Mr. Chef's special, (he) cleaning up the plates (well, only sometimes), watching movies, a lot of night walkouts, a lot of use(less/full) talks, sneaking to Mumbai every weekend, a lot of TV (includes watching Mrs. Shrimati Game show, when there was no cable around) and back to cursing managers... Phew! Indeed, a long list! We did a lot of lukhaagiri together!

And of course he loved his nephew, Dev. And still does. Well, his one inspiration or encouragement, which still kept him going back to Mumbai.

Discussing with the Group Leader then, and that too, at the Project Event in Goa, and @12 in the night while seating at Calangute beach, with 10 others around, he talked about his *marriage* doubts! Stupid, and an idiot indeed!

But he finally did it, he achieved his first goal - he got married! Things changed around him so much, that we used to wonder, how could marriage change a person sooo very much! We started calling him *taxi* for a while, for an upgrade!

The way he balanced his marriage, the work load, and the expenses were commendable! Not to mention, that he was *the best* man @home and @work, as well!

When I see back then, he wasn't the perfect guy! Well, no one is! But he was an idiot, a real idiot! Not that, I wasn't in the competition. But a nice guy, on the inside.

I still remember our first ever meeting with the then Lead of the project, I was astonished when his only question was about how and when could he relocate to a phoren country? Work, no bar, work hours no bar, just relocate him somewhere, and get him money... And today, he would just be landing to Indonesia, while I click this "Publish Post" button, to work there for a couple of years, to achieve his next goal in life!

P.S.: Rickshawale, I still owe you a gift for our bet. Its still on my mind! But its not going to be anywhere soon, till then Iss post se kaam chalaa....
